AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season

In a surprising partnership that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret sect.

The mission concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Content

This release also adds the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery." True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a new environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
